2026/10/23
ost’s Descent is the 18th of the 24 traditional Chinese solar terms and the last one of autumn. It usually falls on October 23rd or 24th. Temperatures keep dropping; dew turns into frost. Leaves fade and fall, marking the transition from autumn to winter. Popular customs include viewing red maple leaves, eating persimmons and nourishing the body for cold days.
